Giving is a form of wellness

“It’s enough to indulge and to be selfish but true happiness is really when you start giving back.” ~ Adrian Grenier

It’s been said that giving back has many health benefits for the giver. It feels good to provide a person or organization with something they previously didn’t have–no matter how big or small. This type of gratitude comes with a sense of purpose that makes us feel good, makes us happy, and so much more.

Giving is a form of wellness. One of the best kinds. If you’re looking to give back before the end of the year, consider doing so on Giving Tuesday–a worldwide day of generosity. By taking the competition out of charitable giving, dozens of nonprofits can benefit from this collaborative effort, with the support of local businesses, community organizations, and passionate individuals.

Most cities have a local component. In Cleveland, givers can join the movement through #GivingTuesdayCLE at by donating to your favorite charity, purchasing a DO GOOD Hat, or attending the GOOD Hat Bash on December 3rd at Beachland Ballroom.

The benefits of giving are endless so make sure you do your part.
