Marketing and Mimosas recap: Here’s what you missed!

Last Saturday was simply amazing. In a trendy loft in downtown Cleveland, Photographer Kamron Khan and Digital Marketer Frechic Dickson hosted their first Marketing and Mimosas. The exclusive networking event included a panel discussion featuring Kamron, Frechic, and special guest Ashley Basile Oeken. Here’s what you missed.

During the panel and Q&A portion of Marketing and Mimosas, Kamron, Frechic, and Ashley shared their brand journies and the lessons learned along the way.

While taking the train to work, C7 Branding CEO Frechic used to share social media inspiration geared toward single mothers and caught the eye of a local newspaper editor. She realized that she had unknowingly made a connection between social work and social media, which gave her a platform of influence.<

Frechic challenged guests to answer these questions prior to posting on social media:

1. Who is the post serving?
2. Why does it matter?
3. Is it helping anyone?

Ashley Basile Oeken is the Engage! Cleveland president who is made a name for herself as an organizational leadership expert. As attendees listened intently, her advice was to be strategically forming your network. “Find people and organizations who are willing to help you for free. All you need is an introduction to the right contacts.”

Many guests received professional headshots to help take their careers to the next level.

As a top Cleveland photographer, Kamron advised against posting random photos. She urged attendees to, “Be mindful of what you are sharing and invest in a headshot for your Website. Quality photography is everything.”

She also provided tips which guests were immediately able to put into practice. The tips included understanding natural lighting, photo composition, and more.

Attendees also enjoyed two interactive networking sessions with surprise giveaways.

And of course, the Mimosa Bar allowed guests to customize their glasses, and garnish their beverages with raspberries and blueberries.

Delicious vegetarian and vegan food options were provided by Joni Harbaugh of Savour The Harvest.

Guests also received Swag Bags with goodies from:

  • Radio One
  • Peace Be Still Collection
  • Say Yes To Her Dress
  • CL Magazine
  • Mooreland Mansion
  • And more!
