Why Frankincense is so awesome

The benefits of Frankincense

One of my favorite unique scents is Frankincense. I enjoy it as an Essential Oil as well as in resin form. The fragrance is calming and tends to linger well after its burn dies. Frankincense EO is ideal in a diffuser, an oil burner, when applied topically, and even taken as a supplement. So why should you add this dry climate oil to your collection? The benefits, of course!

Some Frankincense benefits include…

Heals wounds
When applied to the skin, Frankincense helps heal wounds, however, do a patch test first.

Kills bacteria and fungi
Thanks to the anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, Frankincense helps kill bacteria and fungi.

Improves digestion and digestive-related issues
Frankincense calms the symptoms of Crohn’s disease, stomach ulcers, and other inflammatory issues.

Provides asthma relief
Patients with bronchitis and asthma can take for breathing relief. Frankincense also treats shortness of breath and wheezing.

Maintains oral health
Frankincense soothes toothaches, mouth sores, blisters, and cavities. Applying its powder form can relieve pain and prevent gum disease.

Reduces body inflammation and arthritis
When compared to placebo, Frankincense was more effective at reducing inflammation, arthritis symptoms, and swelling.

Here’s a quick video on how I enjoy it!
